The main house dates from 1434, whilst Castle House – the site for our sublime Civil Ceremonies – is a bit older than this dating from 1350!
We always say that holding your wedding at Brympton House is a bit like inviting your guests to walk through history as they will experience every building period from the Medieval through to the Tudor, Elizabethan and Restoration eras. We have a reputation for being a super friendly and relaxed place to hold your wedding in with a wealth of magical historical rooms, all of which can be fully enjoyed and will feel completely your own. The Great Hall
The Great Hall is the heart of the Elizabethan house. Great mullioned windows light the room magically and make for some wonderful photographs. The Great Hall is also a sublime space for a Winters drinks reception.
A breathtaking space to tie the knot in, Castle House dates from 1350; flooded with natural light through its arched medieval windows and with a long central aisle, Castle House is a magical space for your Civil Ceremony
One of the most spectacular rooms in the house, the beautiful Salon is a perfect space to have your wedding breakfast in – complete with a stunning open fire!
The Morning Room
One of the loveliest rooms in the house, the Morning Room faces South and is always bathed in golden light…it also has a full-size snooker table, comfy chairs…need we say more!
Let’s party! Although built in 1710, the old stable block works brilliantly as a modern-day party pad. With a marble topped bar in the old carriage house and an area we call the Food Court tucked into the space where the stables used to be. Of course, you can do more than eat in the Food Court; we have comfy chairs to relax in and then there’s the choice of 2 dance floors – the tack room and hayloft. The Stables has a country rustic vibe and the best thing of all…it doesn’t have a closing time.
Flooded with light, the Ballroom is one of the most impressive rooms in the house and a magical place to host the most important meal of your life…
The Cake Room
We always say that the most expensive cake you are ever likely to buy should be shown off to its best advantage….and the Cake Room is a rather magical space to do this in…of course if you’re not having a cake you could always have some wonderful photographs taken in this room…its simply gorgeous!
A magical space for a dreamy outdoor ceremony, The Temple sits on the South Terrace overlooking the lake on one side and the house on the other
The Library Bar
Wood panelled with a restored 1920’s bar counter, the Library makes a lovely spot for pre-ceremony drinks
Garden & Grounds
The Gardens at Brympton House are Grade 2* listed and provide a stunning back-drop for your wedding day. Outdoor Civil Ceremonies take place in the Temple. Blessings, humanist and Hindu wedding celebrations can choose between a variety of delightful outdoor spaces for the ceremony, including the Victorian walled garden, the Temple and on the croquet lawn.
The Gardens encompass 33 acres of stunning parkland, a tennis court and more formal planting.
